 The 3rd Annual CJ's Bus Run/Walk for disaster relief will be held Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011 at Angel Mounds State Historic site. Don't miss out on this challenging half-trail, half-pavement run or walk. As you run on site, just remember it was a thriving city 600+ years ago!

Since the unfortunate tornado that decimated Joplin, Missouri on May 22, 2011, CJ’s Bus has diligently been exhausting all contact avenues in order to assess the need for its services. After contacts with multiple agencies in the Joplin area such as the YMCA and Multiple local churches, we have found that the community has already worked effectively to establish a “play-care” network for its displaced children. Additionally, an anonymous company has offered funding for the local organizations and churches who are providing care for the children. While we are absolutely elated that the community shares the enthusiasm of CJ’s Bus’ Mission Statement and has pulled together on its own to assist in the needs of its children, we have informed all of the participating organizations that our services are at the ready should the demand escalate or their ability to provide these services on their own diminish. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Joplin. |
